Today we drove past it. It's really quite beautiful to see. It's a shame that it's closed to the public and is still claimed by the DOC. Anyone ever been?? Anyone know a good way in? I've seen a guard shack, but have heard there are times when there is no guard at the shack... Would love some advice on checking this place out!! I'm sure there are wonderful pictures to be made in there! My buddy Matt has some awesome shots on his flickr page.
Since we're going to see her in November, I decided to post a classic...
Today was a fun delivery day for me. I got my stuff from Kohl's - which included some new Skechers!! - and Kevin also surprised me with Guitar Hero 3 for our PS3. Lemme tell ya, it's hella fun! I'm actually pretty good at it. (Maybe I did get the guitar playin' gene after all!) I got sponsored. I made some big $$. I was in the green zone on the "rock-o-meter" for all of my songs, and even got an encore request (tho it might be pretty easy to get those, I dunno!) so I felt pretty badass about the whole thing!!
I do love me some Jewel Kilcher... so far I'm really liking this new "country" album. To me, she's always had this in her music. This music is just a bit more country than her other stuff. Makes me happy to hear her voice on new stuff again!! The song Two Become One is one of the little gems from her album 0304 (the "dance" album), but was previously 2 Become 1.
What's your favorite midnight snack?

This one time, when I was a few years younger, after I had moved back home from living in Auburn, I apparently started ... sleep eating? One morning I woke up with my hands under my pillow. There was something that felt very odd at my fingertips. Smooshy, but yet somewhat stiff at the same time. I lifted up my pillow to discover an Oatmeal Creme Pie!!! Apparently, I had gotten up in the middle of the night and eaten 2 of them, not finishing a third, but leaving the remnants under my pillow like a squirrel hording for the winter!!
I did some sleep eating for a few nights more, but eventually stopped. (As far as I know.) I did find wrappers in the floor beside my bed from time to time and never really realized why I hadn't thrown them away until the discovery that fateful morning.
One of my favorite Top Ten Songs. And one of my top 3 favorite artists. And I get to see her in July!!
So, not only does the sinkhole amaze me, it now also houses an alligator! :)
In this AP photo you can kinda get an idea of the depth, and also see how it would make a nice alligator pit!
I am so not looking forward to this Saturday. I have to work. I'm filling in for another associate who's on vacay in Cancun!! I have to get up at 6. Leave by 7. Be there by 8. Do pretty much nothing till 10:30, then be busy with crazy people who want to do crazy things for a Saturday in a bank. At least I'm getting mileage. Of course, with gas at $4 a gallon (yes, I buy premium!) the mileage payment should go up another twenty cents or so!
I am fascinated by sinkholes and when I heard there was one that was swallowing Texas - okay, that might be a bit dramatic, but it's swallowing a little part of the Lone Star State - anyway, when I heard I had to check it out. I found this at Fox News. They repoted. I decided it was a decent article.
It's like a crazy meteor hit the Earth... maybe it's Optimus Prime!!
Just some random favorite things that I wanted to tack in a post... feel free to comment on any or all!
