What's your favorite music for a Sunday morning?
Submitted by Nick.
My favorite depends... am I just sitting around the computer blogging? Am I cleaning house? Am I laying in bed?
Sarah Mclachlan, Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Loreena McKennitt... there are so many that are great for a Sunday morning!

Do-Si-Dos are totally the BEST!!
I think that we all have some moments in our past that we look back on and say to ourselves, "Wow. I was totally crazy."
I have one such moment that I recalled while I was reading Oprah earlier. (The magazine. Not real, live Oprah.)
I used to work in the stockroom at JCPenney. One morning I was in early as usual getting the system up and running, calling the delivery company to see how many pieces we had on schedule, deplasticizing the latest Sag Harbor dresses on the "Ladies" rack, and other such necessary things. I had not turned on my CD player yet, so the stockroom was pretty quiet as there were usually only 5 to 7 people in the whole store... I was near the doors that lead to the sales floor, which were large, swinging, wooden doors with small, square porthole-type windows in them. Suddenly, I heard a noise. Out of the corner of my eye, I see movement. I knew that the office ladies are in their offices, as they didn't come out much till later in the day, and that the hairdressers did NOT venture onto the sales floor this early... Who could it be?? What could it be!?!
This was when I suddenly became certifiable.
I just KNEW there was a gorilla loose on the sales floor. He was wandering around, checking out price tags and smelling purses and at any moment would burst thru the swinging doors and go on a rampage in my stockroom.
I was momentarily terrified.
I was scared stiff.
I snapped back to my senses and thought, "I have to figure out what to do if he comes back here!"
I decided the best course of action to take would be to climb onto the "line" as we called it, which was the conveyor belt for transferring shipments from the receiving dock to the processing station. It wasn't an actual belt, but large, metal rollers and I knew that while I could accommodate my balance to walk along this, the gorilla would be so confused by the moving ground, he'd never be able to catch me. As I stood in the door way between the stockroom and the dock, I realized how absolutely insane this was.
A gorilla. In JCPenney. What the hell was I thinking!?! Now, to be honest, I knew I was totally nuts, but still when I made myself go out on that sales floor a few moments later, I was a little nervous. Thinking back on this now, I'm baffled as to why on earth I lost my sanity at this moment. And how in the world I've managed to live without fear that there may be a gorilla lurking in every department store. Somehow, I've made it past all that, tho...
So, you might be wondering, "What in blazes did you read in Oprah that made you think of this?" Well, it's a little snippet about a book, The New York Times Practical Guide to Practically Anything. In regards to a gorilla attack, I learned you should kneel, for one thing. So next time, I'll be ready.

What's on your Top 5 video games list?
Submitted by mileena.
Being an avid game player since a very young age, I could have a lot more than 5, but I'll say
1) The Legend of Zelda
2) Tomb Raider
3) Super Mario 3
4) Maniac Mansion
5) Prince of Persia
The Legend of Zelda was totally the best game EVER. The sole reason I bought a GameCube was for the game with the originals on it, plus Majora's Mask...
Last night after a performance of Southern Baptist Sissies, Kevin and I had meet and greet passes. We got to meet Del Shores, the creator, Dale Dickey, AKA Patty the Daytime Hooker from My Name is Earl, Leslie Jordan from Sordid Lives, Will & Grace, and many other things, and also Delta Burke!! I was thrilled with Delta Burke! She was so not what I expected! Anywho, while meeting Mr. Jordan, Kevin got a pic with him. As I stepped back to take it, he asked Kevin if I was his partner. When Kevin replied yes, he said, "Oh. He's cute!" I was so charmed!! :) A TV and stage star thinks I'm cute!! He really was quite charming, tho. I told Kevin after we left that I am sure he's a hoot to hang out with. Funny stories and great wit!! What's not to like!?!

Two pieces I wrote after meeting Kevin...
The first is my favorite of the two.
I am a big David Lynch fan, and what started that was Twin Peaks. I absolutely loved this show. I am still scared out of my wits by BOB. Anyway, these are just a couple of things I found from a long time ago... I can never turn down anything that reminds me of TP!
This is Mary, in my own version of the Log Lady... I have another one, somewhere, with the log. I gotta find that one!!
This is Carter, in tribute to Laura Palmer... Wrapped in Plastic.
I work at a bank, and we have a Schwan's truck that comes around and delivers to us. The food is a little pricey, but it's good... very good. They have the best pork chops I have ever eaten! Now, it's totally nice to have someone deliver food to you, and they do offer specials from time to time. Recently we got free juice with any order. And again, it's good juice! It's a concentrate, so you mix it, but it's very fresh tasting and really, really yummy! There are even more specials on the website. Anywho, I was just wondering if anyone else out there buys from them on a regular basis...? Our driver comes about every 3 weeks. (It used to be every 6, but that driver switched routes and since we got a lot of new faces at the bank and a lot of the new people order, they upped our service!) If you've never tried anything from them, I really do reccomend the boneless, 2-inch pork chops. They are great! They also have corn nuggets (Mary, I know you'll be glad to know!) and wonderful cheesy quik taters! Breads, ice creams, lasagna... a really great wide variety. I was just thinking that it would be so great to never have to buy frozen food at the supermarket again. No more cold aisles! No more wet plastic bags! So if you're out there and you're reading this, and you're a Schwan's customer who buys it all, send me a message and let me know what you think...
Yes, it's true. I have crabs. I have two favorites.
This is, as if you wouldn't know, Sebastian, from The Little Mermaid, who is the very best crab ever, and my other favorite, my magnifying crab that I got many years ago when I was still working at Kirkland's.
They are dear to my heart. Especially since I am a Cancerian!
