This book is ...odd. It was hard to finish. It's one of the few books that I actually went back and re read parts of to figure out what the hell was connected and who was who.

Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog

While I knew I should probably avoid this book, I read it under the pressure from many friends. When I reached the chapter in which Marley begins to get a little tired going up a hill, I knew it was time to stop reading it at work. I took it home to finish, and it's a good thing I did. I used up nearly a whole roll of toilet paper for tears and snot.

I was drawn in to Jeannette's world so fast and so powerfully. Her childhood was amazing, sad, filled with bravery, funny, and intense. A very touching book...

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

I am a big fan of Gregory Maguire, and this was the last book (prior to Son of a Witch) that I read of his... it's one of my most favorite books of all time.

This is one of the most interesting books I have EVER read. It kinda pulls you in. It was totally not what I expected, and was an incredible read. If you have any ideas of what it is about, read the first chapter, and then try to imagine where this ride will take you.

Close Range : Wyoming Stories

I gave it a try only for my interest in Brokeback Mountain, but I bought the sequel to this book right away. It's wonderful, and her writing has a raw beauty to it.
