Wow, my summer has been soooo boring. I really haven't done anything exciting except go to Smith Lake this summer, but that was an experience that I will never forget. lol I went w/ my friend Lisa and we got hit on by soo many guys it wasn't even funny. I have been working this summer tho. I rake hay and mow pastures for like 6 or 7 dollars an hour. The only time I get to ride is either in the early morning hours or later on in the afternoon because it is soooo HOT!!!! out here. I am going to the DCI competition in Tupelo Mississippi on monday to see one of my best friends blow her horn. lol I cant remember what drum corp she is in but I do know that she is marching with a bunch of college folks and was placed on 1st chair music......which means that she ROCKS!!!!!! For a junior in high school to be up there w/ juniors and seniors in college means that she definately rocks. I wanted to ride in the Cotaco Creek wagon train but I wasn't able to get a ride there, so that didn't work out unfortunately. :-( I just now started going to band camp again to start the '07-'08 marching season. The only thing i'm looking forward to about that is the tan that I will end up w/ at the end of the week. We are doing a James Bond show this year too which is soooo SWEET!!!! Well newayz that has been my summer so far in a stretched out and random form. lol Whoever reads this, I hope that your summer has been nice and I'll ttyl.

Monday I rode. Yeah!!!! I haven't had the chance to ride in like a week. I rode dear old Zuka. It was great. She's finally understanding the concept of authority and respect. I think she's finally realizing that pulling me isn't going to get her to the barn faster. I rode her for about 45 min, and then Rusty for about and 1 hour and 15 min. It was great. I clocked him for about 2000 feet and he did it in 13 flat. I was soo proud! Weekend before last I rode for about 5 or 6 hours. It was great. I rode about 7 miles. Even though he is 14, he still has a lot of spunk. Well I'll write more later.
Renee has joined VOX. YAY! Renee is classified as a friend and as family because I just can't imagine it any other way. Go check out the pics of her adorable baby boy Tristan! :) Renee got married on the day that my husband and I got engaged. Oct. 22nd is like a good luck marriage day because my friend Stephanie got married that day too! :)
Just a random blog. Here is Renee and her cute husband with a cool name, Levi! :)

1> MOTZERELLA CHEESE STICKS!!!!!!
2> CHEESE PUFFS
3> RAMEN NOODLES
Marie Antoinette - I didn't really think twice about this movie whenever it was out in the theaters, but Patrick put in on our Netflix queue and I really, really liked it! Sophia Copella did an excellent job with this movie. I've never liked period piece movies with modern music, but this one was fantastic! I really liked the "I Want Candy" montage with the Harpsicord woven into the song.
The Motel - A funny little indy movie about a 13-year-old, Chinese boy who's family owns a small motel. He lives with his family there on-site and he sees all kinds of things while he's there. Very interesting little slice of life movie.
The Departed - This is another one of those movies I didn't think twice about when it came out, but we watched it a couple of weekends ago on the in-room-movie service at the Marriott in ATL. It was SO GOOD. I had to pee for about the last hour of the movie, but I didn't want to miss anything. It was really a good action/thriller/suspense movie. It is up for several awards and deserves them!
Jackass 2 - Believe it or not, I liked this movie for the most part. There was only one part that really, seriously grossed me out and that was when the one guy drank horse jizz. I couldn't watch...Just couldn't do it. Otherwise, it is so damn funny to watch these guys beat the crap out of themselves. I think its funny because of how they laugh - they laugh so hard that you can't help but join in.
Pan's Labrynth - Beautiful movie! I really loved the imagery. I really liked the narrator's voice too - even though I had to read the subtitles to understand :)
Epic Movie - It was a laugh. Check your brain in at the door and enjoy all the in-jokes and puns, but don't plan on walking away from this movie any smarter than you were before.
Jesus Camp - It gave me even more reasons to dislike religious radicals. This movie was made before a scandal hit the news. At the end of the movie, you'll see a preacher named Ted Haggard. That is THE Ted Haggard that is currently in the news with updates about his "recovery" from sexual problems. He was fired after he admitted to buying drugs and sleeping with a male prostitute. Hardly what I call practicing what you preach, huh?
